1. Who we are

This website, bocatherapy.nl, is operated by Alina Boca, an online psychotherapist and counsellor. For questions about this policy or your personal data, you can reach me at  alina@bocatherapy.nl .

2. What data we collect and why

This website uses  Firebase Analytics  (provided by Google) to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are visited most, how long sessions last, and what type of device or browser is used. This helps me improve the website and make it more useful to you.

Firebase Analytics may collect:

  • Page views and navigation paths
  • Session duration
  • Browser type, operating system, and device category
  • Country or region (not your precise location)
  • How you arrived at the site (e.g. a search engine or direct link)

Firebase Analytics does  not  collect your name, email address, or any other information that directly identifies you. No data from contact forms or therapy sessions is processed through Analytics.

3. Legal basis

Analytics cookies are only placed after you have given your explicit consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. This consent is your legal basis for processing under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (AVG). You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking  Cookie-instellingen  in the footer of any page.

4. Data sharing

Analytics data is processed by  Google LLC  (Firebase Analytics). Google may transfer data to servers outside the European Economic Area under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Google's  Privacy Policy . No analytics data is shared with any other third party.

5. Data retention

The consent choice you make (accept or decline) is stored in your browser's local storage. You can clear this at any time via Cookie-instellingen or your browser settings. Analytics data held by Google is retained for up to 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted from Google's systems.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR (AVG), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access  — you may request a copy of the data held about you.
  • Right to erasure  — you may request deletion of your data.
  • Right to object  — you may object to the processing of your data.
  • Right to withdraw consent  — you may withdraw your analytics consent at any time (see section 3 above).
  • Right to lodge a complaint  — you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at  autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl .

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the website after a change does not constitute consent to analytics; consent is always asked explicitly via the cookie banner.
